Jakarta Globe: Workshop Schools Timor Press on Peace Reporting

Jakarta. A two-day journalism workshop on promoting peace in conflict regions is set to begin today in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara.

Thirty journalists from print and electronic media publications in West Timor will take part in the workshop, which is being organized by the Kupang chapter of the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) and the American Friends Service Committee.

Building Capacity for Mediating Elections-Related Conflicts in Africa

In June 2010, AFSC Burundi organised a regional conference on mediating elections-related conflicts in Bujumbura. The three-day conference brought together participants from Benin, Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda and Zimbabwe to dialogue and exchange on the causes and flashpoints of elections-related conflicts and on strategies and approaches for mediating electoral disputes.
