Free Public Showing of Films about Crime, Healing, and Art

Thursday, October 21, 2010 - 7:00pm - 9:30pm

With more and more prisons being built and more and more people being sent to prison—sometimes to solitary confinement—two films on  the life of prisoners and their families, crime victims, and life after release are particularly timely. Both will be screened on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 7 p.m. at the Friends Center at 1501 Cherry St.

The exhibit includes 45 unique 4-foot by 6-foot panels created by artists memorializing Afghan civilian casualties, alongside images about living with war collected from Afghan schoolchildren.
